TreasureDAO is gradually giving rise to various narratives based on Treasure, leading to different game paths within these narratives. A basic version of BridgeWorld has already been released, and the LIFE metaverse will be launched next. According to the LIFE white paper, a preliminary GameFi scenario has been outlined.

Like BridgeWorld, the LIFE metaverse is also a project within the TreasureDAO ecosystem, requiring upgrades, strategy, and competition, with the goal of competing for the ecosystem's universal MAGIC. Of course, they are still very basic GameFi experiences, essentially toys compared to web2 games, and far from the immersive experience of traditional games. However, in the long run, web3 games will gradually improve their shortcomings and strengthen their advantages, but there is still a long way to go.

First, let's take a look at the story background of the LIFE metaverse.

Story Background of the LIFE Metaverse

In the game background set by LIFE, there is a continent called Phanes, where early settlers built a simple and peaceful society. However, as the population increased and refugees poured in, the resources of Phanes could not support the rapidly growing population.

Every life is precious, but resources are limited. What to do? The priests and mages of Phanes proposed a solution: every life form has the opportunity to survive, but not every life form can exist in this world at the same time. Therefore, by staggering the existence of life forms (some existing earlier, some later), resource pressure can be alleviated, allowing each life form a chance to exist.

Later-emerging life forms can be realized through the "Seed of Life." The "Seed of Life" is a magical artifact that can contain a life form's life, talents, abilities, and powers, and can be maintained until it sprouts. Volunteers from different tribes are willing to accept this solution. They are wrapped in seeds, suspended and waiting for the moment of awakening.

However, there is still imbalance on the continent of Phanes, violence spreads, and chaos begins to take root… Life forms need to engage in various activities to ensure the balance of the continent. This story background lays the groundwork for subsequent activities such as choosing professions, learning skills, and participating in raids.

LIFE Built on the MAGIC Ecosystem

Life forms start from seeds, going through different stages: infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and finally aging and death. In the LIFE metaverse, death is a transition from one world to another, and life forms have multiple lives. The LIFE NFT itself represents a game life on-chain, with different professions and activity trajectories, producing different outcomes through participation in its world, ultimately becoming a collectible.

Currently, the LIFE metaverse has designed two generations: Gen-0 and Gen-1, with more generations possibly to come in the future. In Gen-0, life forms are nurtured from seeds, and during the following 8 weeks, each life form will gain unique skills. Each character has the opportunity to acquire one main skill and two secondary skills.

The main purpose of Gen-0 is to accumulate skills in preparation for survival in the Gen-1 world. After 8 weeks, Gen-0 ends, and its souls will arrive at the resurrection site, where they can be reborn as Gen-1.

Gen-1 life forms have different professions and possess basic skills, allowing them to explore the continent of Phanes, complete tasks, fight monsters, raid, and craft resources. These life forms can even enter the BridgeWorld world through a certain entrance for exploration and various operations.

Purpose of LIFE Life Forms

LIFE is also a Play-to-Earn game, belonging to the metaverse of the MAGIC ecosystem. Similar to the exploration of the BridgeWorld legion in BridgeWorld, life forms in LIFE can also harvest loot and MAGIC on their "Phanes continent." At the same time, these life forms need MAGIC to grow, allowing them to acquire more skills and new resources.

Gen-0 Simple Gameplay
Gen-0 is initiated through the Seed of Life (SOL), with three main operations:
1). Visit the Tree of Life to assign a profession
2). Choose a birthplace (8 territories to choose from)
3). Provide MAGIC to the NFT for its growth

*Professions and Skills

When exchanging the Seed of Life, life forms will be assigned one of eight professions: Warrior, Mage, Priest, Gunslinger, Summoner, Paladin, Asura, and Assassin. These roles have different skills and rarity.

image

(Main skills of different professions, LIFE white paper)

Warriors primarily engage in melee combat, using skills and weapons to protect allies, with their offensive skill being Berserk Strike; Mages can summon mana, with their skill being Meteor Shower, suitable for long-range combat; Priests have healing and protective roles, also possessing the Holy Arrow skill to strike down darkness;

Gunslingers can attack from a distance or participate in melee combat with short-barreled guns, being elusive and having multi-shot skills; Summoners have the ability to summon minions; Paladins have the skill of Thor's Hammer; Asuras can distort energy, weaken enemy strength, enhance their own power, and disrupt enemy minds; Assassins are suited for melee combat, attacking before the opponent is aware, causing damage with the skill Backstab.

Profession skills include main skills and auxiliary skills. Main skills are inherent to the profession and cannot be conceptualized; auxiliary skills are learned by visiting two territories, with a maximum of two obtainable. Players can change their auxiliary skills in Gen-1, but need to use "Neural Dissolution Potion" to do so. This loot can be obtained in the dungeons of each territory. Skills accumulated in Gen-0 will directly affect efficiency in completing tasks or participating in raids in Gen-1. For example, spells, enhancements, debuffs, stamina recovery potions, etc.

The number of life form NFTs is fixed at 10,000, with their rarity divided into four categories: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Among them, Warriors and Mages are common professions, each with a 30% chance of being obtained; Priests and Gunslingers are rare professions, each with a 12.5% chance; Summoners and Paladins are epic professions, each with a 5% chance; Asuras and Assassins are legendary professions, each with a 2.5% chance.

The rarity of these professions will also affect efficiency in subsequent raids, influencing the efficiency of obtaining MAGIC. This means that the starting point of life forms in Gen-0 is crucial; if a player starts with the Asura or Assassin profession, these life forms will have an advantage over others.

This also means that once a user activates their Seed of Life, the market value of different life forms will change significantly. For example, if two LIFE NFTs are purchased for 2500 MAGIC each, once they visit the Tree of Life and are assigned professions, one being a Warrior and the other an Asura, the difference will be substantial.

*Eight Territories

When visiting the Tree of Life to exchange SOL, players can choose their birthplace and growth territory. The skills learned in different territories vary. For instance, Vesper is the territory of Alchemists, the Durlhan Mountains have the best Beastmasters, and Montania has the best Engineers.

The eight territories of the continent of Phanes are: Vesper, Sherwood, Thousand Islands, Tunilrog Desert, Durlhan Mountains, Montania, Nisemlay, and Makhinsia. Each territory has its own characteristics, local professions, and different drop probabilities for items. Their common link is the Tree of Life.

*MAGIC and Gen-0

The Seed of Life goes through 8 stages in Gen-0: Birth, Infancy, Childhood, Youth, Adulthood, Middle Age, Old Age, and Death. During this journey, players can choose to play with MAGIC or choose not to use MAGIC. However, the outcomes will differ.

If players choose not to use MAGIC, the NFT can still gain the opportunity for rebirth in Gen-1 but will not have any auxiliary skills; if players inject "50 MAGIC" during the upgrade process of their Seed of Life, they will have the chance to learn offensive functions.

If players inject "50 MAGIC + stake 3 Balance Crystal NFTs (Balance Crystal NFTs are obtained by exchanging LP tokens that provide liquidity for MAGIC, and once exchanged into Balance Crystals, they are irreversible, tradable but not redeemable)," in addition to the above, they will also receive a Land Deed in the 7th week.

The MAGIC consumed by the Seed of Life in Gen-0 will be treated as rewards for future players in the ecosystem, such as loot rewards, raid rewards, etc.

*Treasure and Gen-0

When users choose to inject MAGIC into their Gen-0 journey, there is a small chance of obtaining 3 Strong Stamina Potions at the end. To increase the probability of obtaining stamina potions, players can stake Treasure. The specific probability increase can be referenced in the white paper. These staked treasures can be unlocked at any time, but once unlocked, they cannot be restaked, and there is a 15% chance that the staked treasures will be burned.

Main Gameplay of Gen-1

After the resurrection of Gen-0, players enter Gen-1. Life forms have acquired basic skills in Gen-0, and entering Gen-1 marks the true "play" phase. This includes completing tasks, fighting monsters in dungeons, world raid battles, crafting and synthesizing, and more gameplay opportunities may arise in the future.

*Dungeons and World Raids

Every week, two territories' dungeons will be activated. The activated territories can be used to fight monsters, and the activated territories will rotate at any time. Different territories will drop different loot. Different loot is crucial for participating in future world raids. Additionally, some treasures are imported from external territories (such as the BridgeWorld world).

In the dungeons of the eight territories, different dungeons have different bosses. For example, the boss in Sherwood's dungeon "Rotting Yew" is "Evil Treant," while the boss in Durlhan Mountains' dungeon "Frozen Ruins" is "Viking King Valson." For specifics, refer to the LIFE white paper.
image

(Introduction to the dungeons of the eight territories, LIFE white paper)

World raids require team combat. Players must form a team of life forms with different skills to tackle challenges. This requires collaboration among players and the formulation of appropriate strategies.

For example, choosing which destination to attack, deciding when to strike the opponent (enemies will evolve), determining the skill combination of the team (such as melee warriors, ranged attackers, spellcasters, healers, etc.), and deciding the scale of the team (the larger the team, the greater the power, but the greater the defensive forces encountered, and more players will share rewards, leading to balance).

Therefore, participating in world raids requires players to have careful planning, utilizing their knowledge and resources to form a combat-effective team to drive out Nezhyt (an undead legion reconstructed from corrupted souls). If Nezhyt is not controlled, it will affect the efficiency of players in Phanes obtaining MAGIC.

*Loot Rewards

During world raids or dungeon monster fights, players can obtain different treasure chests and MAGIC coin bags. There are four levels of treasure chests: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond. The drop probability of chests depends on their rarity.

Different treasure chests have different drop probabilities, with Bronze having the highest probability and Diamond the lowest. The drop probabilities of items within different chests also vary. For example, the Bronze chest has a 25% chance of containing a Resurrection Scroll, the Silver chest has a 50% chance, the Gold chest has a 75% chance, and the Diamond chest has a 100% chance.

There are also some secret items hidden in the dungeons of the eight territories or carried by Nezhyt. Players may accidentally discover artifacts, weapon fragments, and armor belonging to ancient life forms. Combining these items can create a new item that grants players immense power. Additionally, participating in world raids increases the probability of obtaining rare treasure chests.

MAGIC coin bags exist at different levels, with different probabilities of containing MAGIC tokens. For instance, Diamond and Gold MAGIC coin bags contain 500 and 100 MAGIC tokens, respectively. Silver and Bronze MAGIC coin bags may not necessarily contain MAGIC. The higher the level, the higher the probability of obtaining MAGIC coin bags, and the more MAGIC tokens they contain.

Approximately 75,886 MAGIC tokens will be distributed to the continent of Phanes each week. If the MAGIC coin bags of each level reach their limit, that level's MAGIC coin bags will not have MAGIC for that week. If there are MAGIC coin bags that have not been claimed by players, they will be sent to the treasury and redistributed as rewards in dungeons or world raids.

Integration of the LIFE World and BridgeWorld

Life forms in the LIFE world can also synthesize treasures from BridgeWorld, as they possess crafting abilities. They collectively confront the threats of dungeons. The legions of BridgeWorld and the life forms in LIFE can cooperate and share loot. From this perspective, life forms can be seen as a derivative legion, or conversely, the legions of BridgeWorld can be seen as a derivative life form.

Treasures from BridgeWorld also have utility in the LIFE world on the continent of Phanes, not only for crafting new resources but also for assisting life forms during raids. For example, using Treasure from BridgeWorld to craft stamina potions. During raids, stamina potions can be used to recover skills more quickly.

Continuous Evolution

As LIFE and BridgeWorld both belong to the MAGIC ecosystem, with the evolution of both worlds, future versions, such as Gen-2 (if it exists) or BridgeWorld V2 or higher versions, may introduce more complex and rich gameplay.

With the improvement of mechanisms, teams or communities may even gradually develop works that truly provide a gaming experience (currently lacking immersive gameplay), all of which depend on the collaborative design, promotion, and implementation by the team and community.

With the launch of TreasureDAO, more participants from various worlds are gradually evolving into the MAGIC ecosystem, from Smolverse, BridgeWorld, to LIFE, and more on the way like BattleFly, Peek-A-Boo, etc. As for how far it will develop, no one can predict; it relies solely on the construction of the project and community. For now, it has already sketched out the preliminary shape of GameFi.
