Gyeonggi-do, South Korea's Seongnam City plans to build a metaverse city platform that will empower citizens through NFTs
According to Chain Catcher news and reported by Yonhap News Agency, the city of Seongnam in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, announced plans to build the "Metaverse Special City Seongnam" platform in the first half of next year, and will issue NFT citizenship. Citizens can use this NFT to access municipal information on the metaverse platform. The service is scheduled to be completed in April next year and is expected to start operating around May or June.
It is reported that in May this year, the city of Seoul, South Korea, opened its metaverse city hall to the public. (Yonhap News Agency)
