Ripple and SEC request the judge to make a summary judgment in the case of Ripple selling unregistered securities XRP
According to ChainCatcher, The Block reported that Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are requesting the judge to swiftly issue a summary judgment in the case of Ripple's sale of XRP tokens, as both parties do not wish for the legal proceedings to continue to a full trial. Previously, the SEC accused Ripple of selling unregistered securities when issuing XRP tokens.
It is understood that summary judgment is a distinctive civil litigation system in common law countries, which allows judges to make substantive and binding rulings on all or part of a case without a trial. (The Block)
