Overview of the 14 Winning Projects at ETHOnline Hackathon

From September 2 to September 28, ETHGlobal held the ETHOnline 2022 flagship hackathon and summit, with prizes exceeding $300,000. After nearly four weeks of intense competition, 14 winning projects emerged from around 50 participating projects. These winning projects are mainly distributed across the fields of Web3, NFT, and DeFi. Some of the more innovative projects include the cross-chain trading browser Telescope, ENSEverywhere which allows purchasing and trading ENS domain names on Layer2, WaterDrops which helps stream airdrop tokens, and the on-chain blacklist NFT oracle 0xSauce.

Telescope: Cross-Chain Trading Browser

Telescope is a cross-chain trading browser designed to help users track and view on-chain trading activities. Telescope will support Polygon, Optimism, SKALE Network, Aurora, and Cronos networks, with core features including:

• An account overview and transaction list similar to Web2 banking applications;
• An intuitive transaction detail page that easily displays complex contract calls;
• Intuitive visualization from one network to another;
• Visualization of accounts and transaction activities, including visualizations of token and NFT transfers to better track the flow of funds.

ENSEverywhere: Purchase, Trade, and Bridge ENS Domain Names on L2

ENSEverywhere is primarily aimed at solving the current pain point of being unable to register and trade ENS domain names on Layer2, helping more people access ENS domain names and making ENS domain names a "citizen" symbol on Ethereum Layer2. At that time, users can request domain name purchases on Polygon, Optimism, or other chains. Then, relayers will register these domain names on Layer1 and bridge the ENS NFTs to Layer2.

Regarding the relayer domain registration fees, ENSEverywhere stated that by using its new bulk registrar contract, it allows a single commitment to register many ENS domain names, potentially saving up to 34% in fees.

Stackr Network: SDK for Building Application-Specific Optimized Rollups

Stackr Network is an SDK for building application-specific rollups using a decentralized independent sequencer network.

Stackr Network states that application-specific rollups can be largely optimized for the specific goals they aim to achieve, such as the Hubble Optimistic Rollup optimized for ERC-20 transfers (used by World Coin) and dYdX L2 which uses StarkWare's StarkEx solution to optimize transactions, focusing on transaction costs. However, not every application is willing to do this; they prefer to focus on building applications rather than building the infrastructure to support them. Additionally, running sequencers is also quite cumbersome.

Stackr Network promotes future large-scale development by providing an SDK for building application-specific rollups, which also includes a decentralized independent sequencer network to bundle incoming transactions from applications and submit them on-chain, further improving data optimization.

WaterDrops: Airdrop Tokens Distributed According to Set Rules

WaterDrops, built using Superfluid and Gelato, is a solution developed to address the issue of airdrop tokens being immediately sold off. It helps project teams distribute airdrop tokens to recipients according to rules over a period of time, allowing for specified output rates, durations, and expiration times. In other words, airdrop token recipients only need to claim once and can receive tokens thereafter according to the set distribution standards.

Flow Theory: Bringing Real Cash Flow to On-Chain Lending through Real-Time Interest Payments

Flow Theory aims to revolutionize fixed-rate credit by bringing real cash flow to on-chain lending through real-time interest payments. Borrowers must pay interest with a continuous Superfluid cash flow, while lenders do not need to claim interest; it will be displayed directly in their wallets.

Interplanetary Fonts: NFT Marketplace and Collaboration Platform for Font Creators and Collectors

Interplanetary Fonts is a decentralized NFT marketplace and collaboration platform where creators can share and collaborate on font projects while receiving real-time payments from project funders.

Interplanetary Fonts uses IPFS/Filecoin for NFT minting and allows funding for projects or creators using the Superfluid flow protocol.

Kari Protocol: Web3 Advertising Marketing Protocol

Kari Protocol is an advertising protocol that allows Web3 companies to target specific customer groups based on their on-chain assets and activities.

Kari Protocol operates by allowing Web3 companies to create advertising campaigns using their content, then selecting and filtering the audience they want to target based on on-chain data (such as the assets users hold or the protocols they interact with). They can also choose whether to add additional rewards to incentivize users for watching ads. Users will then be able to access the Kari DApp to watch ads and claim rewards. Metrics such as CTR and CPM will be provided on the ad manager page.

L2 Optimizoooors: Efficient Gas Router for Layer2 Applications

L2 Optimizoooors is an efficient gas router for Layer2 applications that reduces user transaction costs by using custom contracts that require less call data than standard methods.

For Aave, Connext, and Superfluid, L2 Optimizoooors has deployed factory contracts on Optimism (or Optimism Goerli) that deploy data optimization routing contracts.

0xSauce: On-Chain Blacklist NFT Oracle

0xSauce aims to build an NFT source oracle that links blacklisted NFT project IDs with their collection addresses. It also provides the 0xsauce.xyz website, allowing users to check whether specific NFT projects are marked as suspicious. Additionally, 0xSauce will notify users of updates on the latest blacklisted NFT project information through EPNS messages.

RevFi: Lending Project Matching Companies and DeFi Lenders

RevFi is a DeFi lending project that differs from conventional lending projects in that companies can connect their business sales and marketing platforms, minting an NFT that includes borrowing information, company information, and credible revenue data from their sales platform, which is then published to the market for lenders to choose whom to lend to. The loan amount and interest are fixed.

The total loan amount and interest are fixed; however, repayments are linked to the company's sales until the company fully repays the loan, with repayment amounts varying based on market and company revenue. RevFi will automate the process by connecting to the company's payment processor or through direct debit to collect repayments.

TurboDI​​PaaS is a no-code Web3 integration solution that allows different Web2 and Web3 solutions to be connected through GUI configuration.

n00b wallets & Lensmo: Send NFTs and Airdrops to Anyone on the Internet

This project allows sending NFTs and airdrops to anyone on the internet without requiring a wallet. The project automatically creates a non-custodial smart contract "n00b wallet" for them and binds it to their social media accounts.

n00b wallets can create a permissionless non-custodial wallet for friends, family, customers, or anyone, even if they are unaware. The Lensmo app is used to send tokens and airdrops across any social network (including Web2 or Web3).

No Cost Subscriptions: Fee-Free Subscriptions

No Cost Subscriptions (NCS) is a protocol for creating and managing free subscriptions, allowing users to support their favorite products, services, or communities through savings or AKA staking without any fees, similar to how PoolTogether works.

Businesses can use NCS for free to create unlimited free subscriptions. When their customers subscribe to their business through staking/depositing, the earnings from the deposits are redirected to the business, with 30% going to the NCS protocol.
