ChainCatcher news, the Guangxin District Court of Shangrao City recently made a judgment on a theft case, sentencing the defendant Li to ten years and six months in prison, along with a fine of 200,000 yuan.
In March and April 2018, Li used the "trojan horse" he had mastered and related technologies to collect scattered ETH while maintaining relevant servers for client Miao. During this process, he implanted the trojan program into Miao's database, and the defendant Li transferred ETH a total of 520 times from the victim Miao's electronic wallet in the imToken App, amounting to 383.6722 ETH.
Subsequently, the defendant Li converted the 383.6722 ETH through an electronic wallet he created into 109,458 USDT. The value of the 384 ETH transferred to the receiving wallet by the defendant Li was approximately 430,000 yuan.
