Cardano will launch a new privacy sidechain called Midnight

ChianCatcher news, IOG (Input Output Global), the development company behind Cardano, will launch a new privacy-focused blockchain called Midnight and a token named "dust."

IOG CEO Charles Hoskinson stated at an event held at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland on Friday that Midnight is based on zero-knowledge proof technology and is one of the many sidechains currently being deployed around Cardano. It aims to surpass previous privacy coin projects by providing zero-knowledge proof smart contracts. The network will strive to protect privacy while allowing access for regulators and auditors.
