Reuters survey: The Federal Reserve will raise the federal funds rate by 50 basis points on December 14

ChainCatcher news, a Reuters survey shows that all 84 analysts surveyed expect the Federal Reserve to raise the federal funds rate by 50 basis points on December 14. Among 48 analysts, 35 believe that the next recession in the United States will be brief and mild, with the median probability of a recession in the U.S. one year from now stable at 60%, rising to 70% two years from now, up from 63% in the November survey.
