Sources: U.S. prosecutors are investigating SBF and his colleagues' political donations

ChainCatcher news reports that sources say U.S. federal prosecutors are seeking more information regarding SBF and two executives who worked with him providing political donations to Democratic and Republican lawmakers.

Since SBF's arrest, prosecutors have contacted "representatives of campaign and committee contributions totaling millions of dollars from SBF and his colleagues." A prosecutor from the Southern District of New York's U.S. Attorney's Office sent an email to a law firm representing a prominent Democratic political group, requesting information on donations made by SBF and his colleagues.

Additionally, campaign organizations, large super PACs, and Congressman Hakeem Jeffries received emails. It is reported that after the FTX scandal broke, Jeffries and other politicians "either returned donations related to FTX or donated the money to charity." (New York Times)
