The Uniswap community voted to support changing the voting process, reducing the number of off-chain "snapshot votes" to one

ChainCatcher news, the Uniswap Foundation initiated a proposal vote to change the community governance process a week ago. According to the results of the week-long voting, nearly 100% of community members support changing the voting process to reduce friction associated with community governance.

The biggest change is that Uniswap will reduce the number of off-chain "snapshot votes" before on-chain voting to just one. The final governance vote—on whether to approve or reject the proposal—will remain unchanged. While both types of voting require participants to contribute UNI, the on-chain vote adds data to the Ethereum blockchain, whereas the off-chain vote is based on community members' initial stance on the proposal.

Devin Walsh, Director of the Uniswap Foundation, stated, "The purpose of the off-chain vote is to signal to the community that there is a consensus on the proposal." "We found that just one off-chain vote is sufficient, and asking the community to vote twice is redundant and unnecessary." (source link)
