ChainCatcher news, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Cybaverse Academy Limited (Cybaverse Academy) to jointly establish the "PolyU - Cybaverse Legal and Web3 Joint Laboratory" (Joint Laboratory).
With the rapid development of Web3 and blockchain technology, governments around the world are actively ensuring that relevant regulatory frameworks keep pace. The Joint Laboratory will be the first in Hong Kong to focus on researching the relationship between law and Web3, covering the development of related technological solutions and exploring legal and industry standards. PolyU and Cybaverse Academy will work together to advance asset and network security in the Web3 and blockchain fields, as well as their privacy protection mechanisms. The Joint Laboratory aims to provide necessary tools for regulatory bodies and other stakeholders to enhance protections for investors and the public, jointly promoting the healthy development of the Web3 ecosystem.
