Data: In 2022, lobbying expenses in the U.S. cryptocurrency industry reached $25.57 million, a year-on-year increase of 120%

According to ChainCatcher, data from the nonpartisan nonprofit organization OpenSecrets shows that lobbying expenses for the U.S. cryptocurrency industry reached $25.57 million in 2022, an increase of 121.41% compared to $11.54 million in 2021. Among them, Coinbase ranked first by paying $3.3 million to 32 lobbyists, followed by Robinhood with $1.84 million to 20 lobbyists, and Binance.US spent $960,000, ranking ninth on the list.

According to the data, when Bitcoin's price first surged in 2017, the cryptocurrency industry spent only $2.5 million on lobbying. Over the past six years, cryptocurrency companies have spent just over $50 million on lobbying in the U.S. (Cointelegraph)
