Data: In 2022, cryptocurrency fraud cases in Hong Kong caused losses of approximately $216 million, with the number of victims increasing by 67%

ChainCatcher news, according to the South China Morning Post, a report from the Hong Kong police shows that in 2022, Hong Kong recorded a total of 2,336 cases of cryptocurrency-related fraud, an increase of 67% from 1,397 cases in 2021. The funds involved in these cases amounted to approximately HKD 1.7 billion (about USD 216.6 million), which is an increase of 106% from the previous year. (Source link)
