The EU anti-money laundering legislation restores restrictions on cryptocurrency payments to the original version
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the EU anti-money laundering bill will restore the restrictions on cryptocurrency payments to the original version, which stated that unless the owner of the cryptocurrency wallet can be identified, the payment limit is 1,000 euros. This provision was later amended to allow transfers exceeding 1,000 euros only from EU-licensed cryptocurrency service providers, but this amendment faced opposition. The provision has now been reverted to its original version.
The bill will be voted on by the European Commission on March 28. (source link)
