Coinbase announces expansion plans for the Canadian market and has signed an enhanced pre-registration commitment

ChainCatcher news, Coinbase stated in its latest blog post that it signed an enhanced pre-registration commitment with Canadian regulators on March 24 and appointed former Shopify executive Lucas Matheson as its Director for Canada. Matheson previously worked at Shopify for five years, leading operations and strategic expansion. He will manage over 200 engineers at Coinbase.

According to previous reports, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has also submitted a pre-registration commitment to the Ontario Securities Commission and pledged to comply with the stricter regulations set by the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA). (source link)
