The Central Bank of Montenegro signs an agreement with Ripple on the national digital currency project
ChainCatcher news, the Central Bank of Montenegro announced that it has signed an agreement with Ripple to develop a strategy and pilot program for Montenegro's digital currency in the form of a central bank digital currency or stablecoin.
James Wallis, Vice President of RippleX responsible for central bank business and CBDC, stated that more details will be announced later this year, and the project will go through several phases, including determining the practical applications of the digital currency or national stablecoin.
