Avalanche: Cortina upgrade has been activated on the mainnet

ChainCatcher message, Avalanche tweeted that the Cortina upgrade has been activated on the mainnet. Cortina is the latest version of AvalancheGo, featuring 3 key optimizations aimed at providing a better experience for developers on Avalanche.

According to previous news, the Cortina upgrade includes migrating the X-Chain to run on the Snowman++ consensus, which means the entire network has migrated to a single consensus engine, reducing the scale of the trusted computing base and increasing the leverage of existing R&D efforts. The Cortina upgrade also introduces batch authorization rewards and raises the C-Chain gas limit to 1500 gas. (source link)
