Ledger Recover recovery service is optional and plans to open source the code in the future
ChainCatcher news, Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier refuted public concerns about the Ledger Recover recovery feature during a Twitter Space, stating, "You say this is not what customers want; in fact, this is what future customers want, and this is how hundreds of millions of people will truly join cryptocurrency."
Ledger co-founder Nicolas Bacca mentioned that the team plans to open its code in the future so that users can see how Ledger's recovery service securely encrypts user data and operates securely at its core. Meanwhile, Ledger is making its recovery service completely optional and maintaining transparency regarding its partnerships with third-party custodians.
Previous report, the Ledger Nano X cold wallet firmware update will introduce the Ledger Recover recovery feature, raising concerns among some users. (CoinDesk)
