On the eve of the Optimism token unlock, the market maker Wintermute has transferred 2.65 million OP to Binance

ChainCatcher news reports that on-chain analyst Spot On Chain stated that in the past 42 hours, the market maker Wintermute has transferred approximately 2.651 million OP tokens to Binance at an average price of $1.63, worth about $4.31 million.

Spot On Chain indicated that Wintermute is one of the Series B investors in Optimism, having accumulated 21.31 million OP tokens (approximately $21.49 million) from Binance and Coinbase at an average purchase price of $1.01. It then sold 5.9 million OP tokens (approximately $10.62 million) at a price of $1.80, making a profit of $4.67 million.

Earlier news indicates that according to tokenunlocks information, at 8 AM Beijing time on May 31, there will be a large unlock of OP tokens, with 386,547,057 tokens being unlocked, accounting for 9% of the total supply. At the current price, this is worth approximately $572 million. (Source link)
