A U.S. judge rejects the SEC's request to freeze Binance.US assets
ChainCatcher news, according to Coindesk, the federal judge overseeing the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) case against Binance and Binance.US has denied the request for a temporary restraining order to freeze assets on the U.S. trading platform. This will allow Binance.US to continue operations while discussing the restraining order with regulators.
If both parties can reach an agreement on the restrictions, Judge Amy Berman Jackson of the District Court for the District of Columbia stated that there is absolutely no need to issue a restraining order. Meanwhile, the judge ordered Binance.US to provide a list of its business expenses to the court and directed both parties to continue negotiations and report back to the court by Thursday.
