Jimmy Butler: Did not promote Binance's unregistered securities, requests dismissal of class action lawsuit

ChainCatcher news, Miami Heat basketball player Jimmy Butler has requested to be removed from a class-action lawsuit that accuses celebrities of promoting unregistered securities for Binance. Butler's lawyer argues that the content in his tweets did not promote the securities mentioned nor recommend any investments, but rather warned against celebrity endorsements of cryptocurrencies and urged potential clients of Binance to conduct their own research on cryptocurrency investments.

It is reported that Jimmy Butler is listed in the lawsuit alongside Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, YouTuber Graham Stephan, and Ben Armstrong. Zhao, Binance, and Armstrong have previously filed motions to dismiss the lawsuit.
