The amount of U.S. Treasury bonds held by Tether has surpassed that of Australia, with operating profits exceeding $1 billion in Q2
ChainCatcher news, encrypted KOL Miles Deutscher stated on social media that Tether currently holds more U.S. Treasury bonds than Australia, the UAE, and Spain combined. In addition, Tether's operating profit for the second quarter exceeded $1 billion. Meanwhile, the world's largest asset management company, BlackRock, reported an operating profit of around $1.6 billion this quarter.
Previous report, on July 31, the stablecoin issuer Tether released the assurance opinion report for Q2 2023 completed by the independent accounting firm BDO. Tether revealed that its excess reserves increased by approximately $850 million, bringing the total excess reserves to about $3.3 billion by the end of Q2.
