Eleven cities in Russia will conduct pilot testing of the digital ruble, with actual transactions starting in mid-August
ChainCatcher news, Olga Skorobogatova, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Russia, announced that Russia will conduct pilot tests of the digital ruble in the capital city of Moscow and 10 other cities. More than 12 Russian banks will participate in the tests, with actual transactions and user participation scheduled to begin in mid-August. Moscow also plans to launch digital ruble transactions in the public transportation system.
