Thailand demands court order to shut down Facebook unless the platform takes measures to address cryptocurrency scam ads

ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, Thailand plans to take legal action in the future, requesting the court to order the closure of Facebook unless the platform takes measures to address the investment and cryptocurrency scam advertisements that appear on it.

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) of Thailand stated that more than 200,000 people have been scammed due to advertisements on Facebook that promote cryptocurrency scams, fake investment companies, and counterfeit official agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission.
