The Australian medical organization Victor Chang chooses Filecoin to store its large amount of research data

ChainCatcher news, the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute in Australia has chosen Filecoin as its preferred method for storing a large amount of research data. The institute claims to have stored approximately 137 TB of cardiac research data in the distributed storage solution (DSS) provided by Filecoin network storage providers.

The institute's IT director, Todd Ryman, stated that the migration to Filecoin officially began in September 2022, and the reason for abandoning the "local storage system" and cloud-based solutions is that Filecoin can save costs and facilitate the sharing of medical data with other researchers.
