On September 13, McLaren Racing, in collaboration with its main partner—global leading Web3 technology company OKX—showcased the limited edition stealth mode livery design of the McLaren MCL60 F1 car at the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix and the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix. OKX's Chief Marketing Officer Haider Rafique, McLaren F1 team drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, as well as McLaren Racing's Partnerships and Accelerator Executive Director Matt Dennington attended the event.
OKX Chief Marketing Officer Haider Rafique stated: "Whether on the track or in the Web3 world, teamwork, creativity, and innovation are fundamental to achieving victory. The inspiration for the stealth mode livery design comes from this philosophy. Asia is one of the most active regions in Web3, and this event is not only a way for us to celebrate F1's return to the Asia-Pacific region but also a tribute to the Asian Web3 culture. At the same time, we wish drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri good luck."
It is reported that the stealth mode livery color was co-designed by OKX and McLaren, altering McLaren's color scheme by adding black to the team's classic papaya orange decoration. The stylish and understated design represents the belief of both brands in pursuing excellence behind the scenes—embracing change and innovation.
McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown stated: "Our partnership with OKX is becoming increasingly close, and the stealth mode we designed together has changed the color of our car, bringing something exciting and unique to the great races in Singapore and Japan. We hope fans will love it as much as we do and have the opportunity to interact with our team in the fan zone. OKX is a steadfast supporter of McLaren, and we are very proud to bring our partnership to life through the global platform of Formula 1."
To bring fans closer to the stealth mode, OKX will open a McLaren-themed fan zone—the OKX Race Club—at Chimes in Singapore from September 14 to September 17. OKX will showcase stealth mode display cars, racing simulators, limited edition giveaways, and more during the race weekend, with free tickets available for purchase here.
Additionally, the limited edition T-shirts for this race will be provided by the McLaren store and will be given to attendees at the Web3 conference Token2049 held in Singapore before the race.
