Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini announced its exit from the Dutch market on November 17

ChainCatcher news, the cryptocurrency exchange platform Gemini has decided to exit the Dutch market due to its inability to meet the requirements set by the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) for cryptocurrency exchanges. In a letter sent to Dutch users on September 26, Gemini stated that it will suspend its operations in the Netherlands on November 17, 2023, and advised users to transfer their assets to the locally registered cryptocurrency exchange Bitvavo, which is registered with the DNB. Nevertheless, Gemini still plans to return to the Dutch market once it complies with the new Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA).
