The first day of the SBF trial has ended, and the jury has not yet been selected

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, the first day of the trial for FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has concluded at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, but the jury members have not yet been determined. Dozens of potential jurors have been eliminated.

Judge Lewis Kaplan stated that by the end of the day, about 50 people remained on the candidate list. It is expected that 12 jurors and 6 alternate jurors will be selected on Wednesday morning local time, and opening statements are anticipated to begin shortly thereafter. The prosecution is expected to make opening statements lasting about 25-30 minutes, while the defense is expected to take 35-40 minutes. The first witnesses are set to testify later today.
