The rise in LINK's price is largely related to Bithumb and Upbit; during the price increase, the Korean exchanges Bithumb and Upbit accumulated a total of 945,000 LINK (worth about $9 million). Bithumb stopped accumulating a few hours ago and transferred out 220,000 LINK (worth about $2.05 million). Meanwhile, the price of LINK has started to decline from its peak.
Lookonchain analyzed LINK holders. Exchanges hold 202.6 million LINK (accounting for 20.26% of the total supply). Holders have staked 37.45 million LINK (worth $355.8 million). LINK whales have accumulated 11 million LINK (worth $80.32 million) from Binance since September 19. After the price increase of LINK, "smart money" wallets that profit from price fluctuations are shorting LINK. One whale sold all 38,381 LINK at a price of $9, then borrowed 38,747 LINK from Aave and sold it at a price of $9.5.
