ChainCatcher message, the NEAR Foundation is collaborating with Eigen Labs to build the world's first "fast finality layer" for Ethereum Layer 2. The team stated that transaction times will be reduced from several minutes or hours to 3-4 seconds. The cost of transactions on this new finality layer will be 4000 times cheaper than it is now.
