Asset management company WisdomTree has submitted the S-1 prospectus for a spot Bitcoin ETF again

ChainCatcher news, the New York-based asset management company WisdomTree submitted a revised S-1 prospectus for a spot Bitcoin ETF to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) yesterday. WisdomTree proposed to amend the rules to allow shares of the WisdomTree Bitcoin Trust to be listed and traded on the BZX exchange of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).

According to the amended prospectus, the trading symbol for the WisdomTree Bitcoin Trust ETF is BTCW, with Coinbase Custody Trust acting as the custodian for all the Bitcoin held in the trust. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart stated that the updated S-1 spot Bitcoin ETF filing submitted by WisdomTree indicates that the company is still planning to launch the ETF and is in discussions with the SEC regarding this opportunity.
