Evmos plans to use Cosmos ecosystem tokens as ERC-20 tokens

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Evmos developer Altiplanic is developing a mechanism that allows Cosmos tokens to be used as ERC-20 tokens on the Evmos blockchain. The planned release will provide Evmos developers with a unified token model applicable to both native tokens and ERC-20 tokens.

Essentially, this integration will enable Cosmos tokens (which are not compatible with the ERC-20 standard) to be used directly in dapps on the Evmos EVM. The mainnet version of the mechanism is expected to be released by the end of this year.
