Orbit Chain: Confirmed unknown access to the cross-chain bridge and is working with law enforcement to analyze the cause of the issue

ChainCatcher news, the cross-chain bridging protocol Orbit Chain announced on platform X that it confirmed an unidentified access to Orbit Bridge (a decentralized cross-chain protocol) at 16:52:47 (Beijing time) on December 31, 2023. More information regarding this issue will be updated later. Currently, Theori is conducting a comprehensive analysis of the root cause of this issue and is actively collaborating with international law enforcement agencies.

Earlier reports indicated that the Orbit Chain cross-chain bridge was suspected to have been hacked, resulting in a loss of $81.5 million in cryptocurrencies and stablecoins. The specific nature of the hacker attack remains unclear.
