Bloomberg ETF Analyst: There is still a small chance that the Bitcoin spot ETF could be rejected this January

ChainCatcher news, Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas stated that although he and ETF analyst James Seyffart still believe there is a 90% chance that a Bitcoin spot ETF will be approved before January 10, they have not raised that probability above this figure.

While the likelihood of rejection is low, if the spot Bitcoin ETF is rejected this month, it is likely because the SEC wants "more time," rather than a direct rejection. The time and effort that the SEC and Bitcoin ETF issuers have invested means that a complete rejection of the Bitcoin ETF at the last moment is unlikely.

If the SEC rejects, fund issuers may follow in Grayscale's footsteps and file separate lawsuits against the regulators.
