Multiple agencies in South Korea are collaborating to investigate the Orbit Bridge security incident
According to ChainCatcher news, as reported by News1, the National Intelligence Service of South Korea stated that it is cooperating with other parties to investigate the cause of the Orbit Bridge theft and the attackers. According to Article 48, Clause 3 of South Korea's "Information and Communication Network Act" (reporting of infringement incidents, etc.), information and communication service providers must immediately report infringement incidents to the Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technology or the Korea Internet and Security Agency. Therefore, in the early stages of the Orbit Bridge theft incident, the Korea Internet & Security Agency and the National Police Agency were involved in analyzing the cause of the incident.
In addition, because the analysis indicated that the North Korean hacker group Lazarus could be the culprit behind this attack, the National Intelligence Service of South Korea subsequently also participated in the investigation.
