Ripple co-founder confirms that personal account was hacked for 213 million XRP yesterday and has contacted law enforcement to freeze the funds
ChainCatcher message, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen posted on social media that his personal XRP account (unofficial) was stolen yesterday. He quickly discovered the issue and notified the trading platform to freeze the related addresses, and law enforcement has already intervened.
Earlier news, on-chain detective ZachXBT posted on social media earlier today that he monitored that Ripple was suspected of being hacked for 213 million XRP (approximately 112 million USD). The stolen funds have been laundered through MEXC, Gate, Binance, Kraken, OKX, HTX, HitBTC, and others.
