Polish towns use stablecoins for local business activities
ChainCatcher news, according to Blockworks, the Polish town of Mińsk Mazowiecki is launching a stablecoin called MinsCoin, which users can spend at local businesses. Additionally, the USDC-backed stablecoin platform UrbanChange is launching simultaneously. UrbanChange states that this currency is a "convenient currency for shoppers" and will circulate locally in Mińsk Mazowiecki.
UrbanChange co-founder Michael Mazur revealed that up to 10 businesses in Mińsk Mazowiecki will support MinsCoin at its launch, and he expects "more" businesses to join in the future.
