The Ethereum mainnet is expected to undergo the Dencun upgrade on March 13

ChainCatcher message, the Ethereum Foundation has released the Dencun mainnet upgrade announcement. Dencun is expected to activate on the Ethereum mainnet at 21:55 Beijing time on March 13, 2024, at block height 269568.

It is reported that node operators and stakers must upgrade their software to the versions listed in the announcement. This upgrade introduces temporary data blobs with EIP-4844, also known as "protodanksharding," which will help reduce L2 transaction fees.
