Argentina has begun implementing registration requirements for cryptocurrency companies
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the Argentine government has begun implementing requirements for cryptocurrency trading platforms to operate legally in the country.
The Argentine National Securities Commission (CNV) stated in a declaration that virtual asset service providers will operate in accordance with the recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). As part of Argentina's reforms to anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CFT) laws, certain companies providing cryptocurrency-related services must register officially in Argentina.
CNV Chairman Roberto Silva stated that unregistered virtual asset service providers "will not be able to operate in the country."
