SBF appeals his conviction and 25-year prison sentence
ChainCatcher news, according to CNBC, FTX founder SBF's lawyer has filed a notice of appeal against SBF's federal fraud and conspiracy charges as well as the 25-year prison sentence.
It is reported that SBF's appeal was filed two weeks after he was sentenced in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, where he was ordered to pay a $11 billion fine for large-scale fraud involving the cryptocurrency exchange FTX and the related hedge fund Alameda Research. Prosecutors stated that this is one of the largest financial frauds in history.
Additionally, the appeal is expected to be heard by a panel of three judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan.
