ARK Invest and 21Shares have removed staking language from their latest Ethereum spot ETF application

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the latest Ethereum spot ETF application proposed by ARK Invest and 21Shares does not include staking. Previous application documents mentioned staking, stating that "the issuer may sometimes stake a portion of the trust assets through one or more trusted staking providers." However, this wording has been removed in the updated document released on Friday.

Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas stated that this move could be a last-ditch effort or an attempt to give the SEC one less reason to deny the application.
