Maker founder: PureDai governance token initial supply is 2 billion

ChainCatcher news, Maker founder Rune Christensen posted on social media that PureDai will have its own new governance token, with the following main features:

1. The initial supply of the PureDai governance token is 2 billion;
2. The initial supply will be distributed to NewStable mining users on the Ethereum mainnet over 5 years;
3. Permanently distributed to PureDai vaults users to subsidize the generation of PureDai;
4. The surplus portion of PureDai will be used to accumulate PureDai governance tokens through a smart burn engine;
5. The PureDai governance token will play a backing role when PureDai faces bad debts.

ChainCatcher previously reported that Maker founder Rune Christensen stated on the X platform that, as a complement to NewStable, to meet the needs of users who prefer a purely decentralized vision, Maker is expected to launch another purely decentralized stablecoin, PureDai.
