FTX founder SBF has been transferred to a new prison

According to ChainCatcher, a spokesperson for FTX founder SBF stated that federal officials began transferring Sam Bankman-Fried to a new prison early Wednesday morning, disregarding his wish to remain in New York. The spokesperson mentioned that this would help him prepare for his appeal.

The spokesperson indicated that he could not confirm SBF's whereabouts, but sources familiar with the matter said that SBF was recently informed that he would be transferred to a federal correctional facility in Mendota, California.
