Before the Trump debate, Biden may adjust the digital asset strategy
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, President Biden may soften his stance on cryptocurrencies to gain voter support. Although the Biden administration has intensified regulation on crypto companies, as the 2024 election approaches, he may accept Bitcoin campaign donations and express a willingness to work with Congress to establish a regulatory framework.
During President Trump's term, he criticized Bitcoin, calling it "based on a house of cards," but launched an NFT series in December 2022 and announced that his campaign would accept cryptocurrency donations. Both Biden and Trump are vying for the support of cryptocurrency voters, who are mostly young professionals from Generation Z and Millennials. The positions of the two candidates will directly clash for the first time in the presidential debate on June 27.
