Report: Coinbase is the most impersonated brand by scammers and malicious actors in Web3

ChainCatcher message, according to a recent survey, Coinbase is the most impersonated brand by scammers and malicious actors in the Web3 space.

Among all U.S. cryptocurrency companies, the Coinbase brand has been impersonated the most in phishing attacks. Phishing attacks are online social schemes designed to trick investors into willingly sending digital assets to the impersonator's cryptocurrency wallet. According to a report by Mailsuite and Cointelegraph, the Coinbase brand has been fraudulently used in 416 reported phishing attacks over the past four years.
