ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Democrat Wiley Nickel stated at the Bitcoin 2024 conference that 28 elected Democratic officials (including 14 House members) have written to party leaders, calling for more support for cryptocurrency to be included in the party platform.

The letter presents four demands to the Democratic National Committee and the next Democratic presidential candidate: to include support for digital assets in the party platform, to select a vice presidential candidate who is knowledgeable about digital asset policy, to choose an SEC chair who supports innovation, and to engage with the industry in a meaningful way.
