The judge approved former FTX executive Ryan Salame's request to postpone his prison sentence
ChainCatcher news, according to a report by Cointelegragh, in a document submitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on July 30, Judge Lewis Kaplan approved a motion filed by the lawyer of former FTX Digital Markets co-CEO Ryan Salame, allowing Salame's prison time to be postponed until October 13.
Previous news, Ryan Salame applied to the court to delay his prison sentence due to being "bitten by a dog." Salame was bitten on the face by a German Shepherd while visiting a friend's house and requires surgical treatment. He was originally scheduled to begin serving a 7.5-year sentence on August 29 after being accused of misappropriating company funds and participating in secret political lobbying.
