ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the U.S. CFTC is investigating possible cryptocurrency fraud activities conducted by unknown individuals, which may involve 15 tokens including the memecoin BEN. The agency issued a subpoena to the cryptocurrency-focused media company Hit Network on July 16, which had previously hired Ben "BitBoy" Armstrong as a spokesperson. The subpoena requests information about the trading activities and digital wallets related to these 15 tokens, including the BEN memecoin associated with Armstrong. Armstrong had recommended the other 14 tokens in YouTube videos (mainly before the establishment of Hit Network), suggesting them as potential purchases.
