ChainCatcher news, former SEC crypto and cybersecurity chief David Hirsh joins McGuireWoods law firm.

Hirsh joined the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in 2015 and served as legal advisor to former SEC Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw, focusing on enforcement advisory consultations.

Robert Muckenfuss, chair of McGuireWoods' financial services and securities enforcement department, stated in a statement: "Cybersecurity and crypto are rapidly evolving areas of law, and Dave's unique background and extensive experience in securities enforcement will help our clients stay ahead."
