Telegram CEO arrested by police at a French airport

ChainCatcher news, according to the BBC, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was arrested by French police after landing at Le Bourget Airport in northern Paris. Sources say that Durov was detained due to the presence of drug trafficking, arms black market, and child pornography content on the Telegram platform, after Telegram refused to cooperate with the police on this matter. French police also searched Durov's property.

Additionally, according to the Russian state news agency TASS, the Russian embassy in France is taking "immediate steps" to clarify the situation.
