Visa: Spanish bank BBVA participates in the development of a tokenized asset platform sandbox, planning to launch a pilot on Ethereum next year

ChainCatcher news, according to Blockworks, payment giant Visa stated on Wednesday that Spain's BBVA has been involved in the development of the new Visa Tokenization Asset Platform (VTAP) sandbox this year. The bank is testing the issuance, transfer, and exchange of bank tokens on the network blockchain, with plans to launch an initial pilot for selected customers on the Ethereum blockchain in 2025.
